difficulties connecting to network - ubuntu 10.04
hi, i'm having a fair amount of trouble trying to pinpoint where is the problem. I've read many pages but still don't know what to look for. please help!
My NetwokManager scans the networks around the house but when i try to connect to the one he's supposed to be connected to, it takes 5 min of "connecting" without getting a connection at the end. when i try to make changes from the desktop environment, the window is shaded and i get an error message.Code:uname -a Linux gandhi 2.6.32-21-generic #32-Ubuntu SMP Fri Apr 16 08:10:02 UTC 2010 i686 GNU/Linux

Try connecting again and immediately issue this command and post the results please.
If the above command does not work then just useCode:sudo tail -50 /var/log/dmesg
It's going to be a lot of output but we really only need the lasy 50 lines or so.Code:sudo dmesg
