    tail -50 /var/log/NetworkManager shows following
    Seems wlan0 is correctly trying to associate to right ssid but somehow it can not.

    This desktop is in the line of sight to the router and is about 20 feet away. No hinderence in between. Also connection worked fine
    before upgrade, exactly at the same location.

    About the only other thing I came across is this line:
    The at76_usb and at76c50x-usb drivers do not support WPA or master mode operation.
    You may need to use ad hoc mode.
