    I'm dual-booting with Windows XP Home Edition SP3. The card works great with Win XP.

    And no, the card does not work with the Mint LiveCD.

    That might not be feasible. It's a PCI card.
    However, going with the same idea, couldn't we just restart the network service and get the output of dmesg?
    For Mint, I believe it's one or the other of these commands:
