    Question/help regarding wireless adaptor

Okay so i believe im running mint julia 10. I bought a no brand wireless adaptor on ebay. I used ndiswrapper and installed the correct driver(i think) the adaptor blinksgreen and the pc seems to recognize it. Bu when i go to open the "windows network" folder, it either does not open or it gives me not able to handle smb commands. I tried alot of trial and error, but can never get a list of wireless networks. Also the adaptor came with linux option And source codes. Can anyone help? Im kinda new to linux
