setting up ad hoc wireless connection in ubuntu netbook remix
hello all...
I'm trying to get my hp Mini 110 -3510 NR netbook online via an ad-hoc network through my windows laptop at home, but am unable to see any network connections on the Mini. I ran the wireless setup listed at www . linuxforums.org/forum/wireless-internet/137532-wireless-setup-start-here . html - and is listed below.
What to do?

From what I can tell from lurking around similar questions, my kernel version may not be supported, but I'm not sure how to tell.
Also, when I want to add a connection, I'm only offered the chance to add a VPN connection. I'm not sure what the gateway address would be in that case....
