Ok. I was going to point you to the Welcome - Linux Wireless web site where they have all the drivers you need if the Atheros 9k device you have isn't supported directly in the kernel (it is for newer distributions). So, what did you do, just to help those who may run into the same problem.
Sometimes, real fast is almost as good as real time.
Just remember, Semper Gumbi - always be flexible!
