    i chose gnome because i love it and my 5yr old knows how to navigate gnome YES i got my 5yr old into linux lol he loves it and all the free games and educational progas that dabian distros have

    was funny had a conference with his kindergarten teacher the other day and she said that in computer lab he turns on all the computers and sets them up for the students faster then any of the teachers do lol i told her about the ubuntu educational distro and she is going to dl it to try out and see if the school will be willing to put it on the computer lab pc's yay me lol

    awesome mint12 does work with the wifi card tyvm for the suggestion .. but it is only recognizing 1 of my 2 cores any suggestions on fixing that that?

    ok found the answer "you need to ugrade to the 686- pae kernel to support HT and/or multiple cores, it's in the package manager."
