RF Kill switch - ipw2200
I have this siemens amilo L1310G with an intel wlan card in it trying use the ipw2200 driver and related firmware.
However, during the boot, I get the message that the RF_KILL switch is on so the card will not come up.
There is button on the laptop that is supposed to enable wireless but pressing it has no effect at all. The command "rfkill list" shows me that there is no software block but that there is a hard block.
Can anybody help me to get the key working? Or any other way past this roadblock?

Mike. rfkill shows the soft block off and the hard block on. It will not clear a hard block, only the switch will do that.
roky. There is no setting for wireless in the bios.
