    Hardware Compatibiity Info

Found this through the hardware link on the desktop. Shame, might not be worth it if doesn't recognise external USB devices.

Finally I could make wifi work...
with ndiswrapper... and drivers for windows xp

    Wireless_Atheros_v.7.6.0.264_XPx86
    using
    netathw.inf

(the button for turn on and off doesn't work)

editting this file for blaklisting other drivers

    /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist-ath_pci.conf

    blacklist ath_pci (original)
    blacklist ath5k (added)
    blacklist acer_wmi (added)

and adding a line for ndiswrapper at the end of file

    /etc/modules

    lp (original)
    ndiswrapper (added)

    the system recognize the nets...
    but didn't connect
to a net with security WPA-PSK
I remembered that a wifi backup for windows didn't save the original password but a hexadecimal line...
I'm not sure what is the system but I copied that line from de wifi backup file to the password box used by LinuxMint, and it worked...

    Additional notes:

I was expecting it works better than ubuntu... or at least like it

I used ubuntu 8.04 and work almost all the hardware...
on ubuntu one of the SD slots doesnt work ... (only work the left one)
and the wifi works with netdiswrapper

    but doesn't work...
    neither SD slots,
nor recognize other usb storage devices.
