    You may have to end up building something from scratch. In the long run you'll learn tons and it may actually be easier. Hybrid grahics is pretty much point and click now. A few years ago it wasn't. I had to build my own ubuntu remix to get all my hardware working correctly. If you want SLI, audio and wifi support it may take some work depending on what you use as the base install to start from.

    You've only got a month or less before ubuntu 14.04 is released. You may want to wait for it. And I wouldn't use anything with less than the 3.5 kernel in it (preferably 3.8 ).

    If 14.04 won't run it with a default install then I'd get the minimal install and start building. I like that better any way; no unity or spyware in it that way.
