i don't know what "wifipisher" is, but the error message is self-explanatory.
do you actually have wifi connectivity?

    if yes:
maybe "wifipisher" defaults to wlan0, and you have to tell it to use a different interface?
what does the documentation say? tried "man wifipisher" or "wifipisher -h"?

    if no:
have to take care of that first.
    post output of "ip link".

and also the name of the distro you're using, and what it's based on (e.g. debian stable/jessie).

    Are you speaking of this?

Should the distro you're running be ubuntu-based, it's probable build-essential and linux-headers-generic will need to be installed before geting to the probable solution. Beyond this, research on your part is called for.

    same here..

    Hi,

I have this same problem, have brought a usb wifi dongle that is TL-WN727N (TP-Link).

Loading up Kali 2 from Vbox it is detected.

    lsusb:
Bus 001 Device 003: ID 148f:7601 Ralink Technology, Corp. MT7601U Wireless Adapter
    iwconfig:
    Code:
    eth0 no wireless extensions.

    ra0 Ralink STA
              Power Management:on

    lo no wireless extensions.
From the network manager without any difficulty I could connect to a wifi network.

The orginal poster's and my problem as well is that this ra0 adapter that I get instead of the expected wlan0 is not working:
    Code:
    airmon-ng check kill

    Killing these processes:

      PID Name
      763 wpa_supplicant
      985 dhclient

    root@kali:~# airmon-ng start ra0

    PHY	Interface	Driver Chipset

    Warn ON: USB
    null	ra0 ?????? Ralink Technology, Corp. MT7601U
Answering your question, I'm able to connect via this usb wifi adapter. I guess the wifipishing is not related to this thread it is just a tool that he mentioned without any real relevance to the topic of getting this ra0 adapter into wlan0, make it usable for monitoring the network.

It just boggles my mind that folks use Kali and then complain about problems with WiFi. You may get more help on the Kali forum as nobody here uses it...
