    No Internet through wireless connection, SuSE 10.1

    I have SuSE 10.1 on IBM NetVista 6790-11G, with wireless PCI Sitecom WL-115 (RaLink 2561/RT61 chipset). The driver from RaLink compiled and installed Ok, so that KWiFiManager shows a good connection, says it is connected and reports correct channel, network ID, speed etc. on interface ra0, modprobe sees the rt61 module loaded. However ping and Firefox do not find any servers. Playing with firewall and browser connection settings gave nothing, as well as switching off, unpluging and rebooting. Any idea what is missing? Everything works fine through wired ethernet, but not with the wireless.

    Playing with firewall and browser is not good because they are not the problem. If ping does not work you have a problem with the connection. The information you have supplied are not enough for solving the problem. Do you have routing tabes Ok (netstat -r).
