Hi, I just installed linux for the first time tonight. It's awsome. I will get into serious programming with this os. anyway, I am trying to set up wifi connection with a linksys router.

My computer that has linux installed is a sony viao. I tried going into network under administrator. doesnt work. I do not know what wireless card i have.

so how do i get connected to the wireless access point? I read something about a Network manager. how do i get it if i need it.
