 Lost Wireless Internet connection, Ubuntu Dapper
Besides being a newbie, I installed ubuntu 6.06 LTS (Dapper) on my dell i8200 laptop (only OS). I am using a linksys wireless card WPC11 v4 that was detected on install and was working fine. Used the internet for several hours, shut the computer down. Next day no internet and no email.
iwconfig and ifconfig show that the card is installed and recognized. When i go to the connection properties it shows that i am connected with send and receiving packets and a signal strength of 97%.
I have tried setting the static ip address manually and i have tried using DHCP.
I have tried reinstalling ubuntu to get back to my initial install but nothing changes. I am lost especially since the card was working like a champ.
