Should I Proxy??

I finally have internet now [after10years of waiting!!]anyways on my modem/wireless router we have da family computer wired in and 2 PlayStation Portables on WLAN.da psps ask for address and port number if i wanna use a proxy. To protect privacy should I proxy? On which devices?

I know hiding my IP might be a good thing! Im not sure but I may have dynamc IP...

Hey guess what for once I figured out something for myself! I seen a .deb file and didnt know that dat meant:

So deb is an archive, but I still dunno what Debian is. Is it a distro?

UPDATE: Oh wait it says its a distro, but will a deb file work on ubuntu? Thats wierd how the archive type is named after one distro but works for ubuntu..
