Knoppix WiFi: Using ndiswrapper-1.33

HI I am running knoppix on my laptop it is an acer aspire 5100. I was trying to get ndiswrapper loaded following the instructions on wikipedia and on the install notes only got me so far. I am able to untar ndis then I go into the directory that houses ndis I type make distclean which seems to work with no error but next I type in make and it returns an error stating it couldn't find the path to the kbuild file(something along those lines)also when I typed in ln -s /usr/src/linux-2.6.6 /lib/modules/2.6.6/build it tells me the file already exists. I am a linux n00b but all I need right now is to get my wireless card set up so I can migrate on over then I can do some hardcore learning and hopefully become an asset to this forum and to the opensource community!!

/lib/modules/.../build is a pointer to the kernel
sources, mine says build-->/usr/src/linux: so you need
the kernel sources (headers, at least) to compile
ndiswrapper. Don't know why you bother: last time I
looked, knoppix included it: so now what you need is a
windows driver for yr wifi card. If cardtype is
"acme.123p" then suggest "google acme.123p driver"

this and more is spelled out in the stickey in our
"wireless internet" forum: it's good
