wifi connection promblem

how can i make set up of wifi in suse linux.. i have nvidia graphic card. alsa sound card. compaq laptop with amd processor. wifi is in laptop... i am new user ( beginer of suse linux). i don't have much idea about linux os. but i do have idea only about microsoft os. but i feel it is not good for learner due to lot of reason.. help me about it. need solution as soon as possible.

First, what kind of wireless nic do you have? Identify what kind of card you have so the proper driver can be installed.

i am a begginer with SUSI linux. I have on board wifi features. My laptop automatically connected with wifi if i were using windows xp. No need drivers for windows xp. So i don't know much more about wifi card. please help me. . .

Go to the console and type lspci, then post the results.
