Let me explaine a little:

i've got a D-Link DI-524 wireless router (Version A1) with the most recent firmware (1.23) which is not broadcasting a strong signal. With the router 1ft away from the computer and 5ft away i get a "very low signal" in Windows. This is not my NIC for sure, i'm getting a 95% signal from a neighbor (i live in appartments) and also other good signals from other neighbors who i can pick up from VERY far away.

The settings on the router are at the max signal strength and mixed signal (as in "a", "b" or "g" type) and i've tried two different channels that are not in use by any other wireless network.

Does anyone know what i can do about this?
