Post linux does not see my PC Card?

I've got a Sierra AC860 air card and my new installed Mandriva does not see it.

I've installed the various files from Sierra(ac860 and ac860chat and the cis .dat file).

Do i need to install the pcmciautils, if so how do I know it worked?

Help

Nice!
You got an Atheros card.

Try this "modprobe ath_pci" and post again

modprobe ath_pci

modpobe ath_pci gives "FATAL: Module ath_pci not found"

I'm trying, for starters, to get my Sierra AC860 pc card working(Cingular). The Atheros is the built-in wifi on my Fujitsu laptop. I would like to get that working and just now tried to do a make on the madwifi and the "make" would not work? I was in the correct madwifi directory for the "make" (i think)?

There is a past discussion on my Sierra AC860 air card/pc-card install, but no
response:
http://www.linuxforums.org/forum/lin...n-problem.html

Do I need to install pcmciautils to get linux to recognize this air card?
If so, is there a good install set of directions?

However, getting online in linux using any method is a start.

Do i need to re-install madrive 2007 to get the make and build stuff, or
set make in the path?

thank you so very much Pablo!

It should be in the CDs, you don't need to resintall.

Post the output of uname -a
