If you need the latest version of the kernel, which I don't think you do, you can get it from http://kernel.org/ . But, if you're on Fedora, try installing ndiswrapper with yum. Are you using FC6? If so, try these commands:
That will import the Livna repository into your system and you can use that to install ndiswrapper, instead of compiling from source. The second command requires root privileges but it should take care of most of the headaches for you.
I attempted to install NDISWRAPPER per these insturctions. I get the following errors:

I ahve been attempting to install the drivers for my Laptop Wireless card for ever. I have a Dell E1705 that has a 1390 mini wireless card. From what i've read the card is based on Broadcom drivers. I know someone out there has the exact hardware combo and has tried to install Linux. I just wish I could find them or some reliable instructions to get my wireless card installed.
