I'm a newbie and I'm trying to install the WLAN drivers...

I have the following instruction and don't know what to do....

$make -C /path/to/source SUBDIRS=$PWD modules
Where /path/to/source is the path to the source directory for the (configured and built) target kernel.

What is the target kernel????
