cheesecake42 Linux User Join Date: Jan 2007 Location: Panama City Posts: 307	about to set up a wireless network I'm about to setup a wireless network with two or three systems running ubuntu. I was curious if anyone had any experience setting up wireless linux networks. Which cards/routers will most likely cause the least amount of problems for this.

Juan Pablo Linux Guru Join Date: Mar 2006 Location: /home/south_america/ecuador/quito Posts: 2,060	The cards are the biggest problems, you can try something easy to set up like an Atheros card, they are greate and support a large amount of options through madwifi. You can also try Hermes and Aironet cards, they have drivers in the default kernel Just avoid Broadcom cards, they simply suck in Linux __________________ Put your hand in an oven for a minute and it will be like an hour, sit beside a beautiful woman for an hour and it will be like a minute, that is relativity. --Albert Einstein Linux User #425940 Don't PM me with questions, instead post in the forums
