Newbie Needs Help With Public Hotspots!!!
I am a newbie to the Linux world, but a veteran when it comes to Apple, and that other company I won't mention...
My problem is with regard to public Wifi hotspots. We have one in the lobby of my office, and I can connect to it no problem on my W-word, Vista partition, but when I switch over to openSUSE 10.2, the connection loads just fine, but I can't surf the web.
I have no idea how to correct it... In Internet Explorer (after you connect to the network), you get an "agreement for wifi access". Once you click that, the home page loads and you are good to go. In openSUSE, I open Firefox (ver 2.0), and it can't load the page.... Is there a setting somewhere (in Firefox) that I have wrong?
