Unhappy Help - IP 2200 Doesn't work on Dell 610

Hi
I'm new to Linux Fedora Core 5.
I have a dell laptop D610.

- My Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 2200 wireless isn't working.
I need help.
Is there somewhere or someone who could point me to detailed
steps on how to install and get the wireless thing to work ?
Because my wireless is down, I have no access to internet to download
files from the Linux desktop.

- Another issue - Yum
I don't have internet access since my wireless is down.

I have in /etc/yum.repos.d, files are
fedora-updates-testing.repo
fedora-updates.repo
fedora-legacy.repo
fedora-extras.repo
fedora-extras-development.repo
fedora-development.repo
fedora-core.repo

in /etc/conf

[main]
cachedir=/var/cache/yum
keepcache=0
debuglevel=2
logfile=/var/log/yum/log
pkgpolicy=newest
distroverpkg=redhat-release
tolerant=1
exactarch=1
obsoletes=1
gpgcheck=1
plugins=1
metadata_expire=1800

#PUT YOUR REPOS HERE OR IN seperate files named file.repo
#in /etc/yum.repos.d

What lines exactly should I add to this file ?
It's unclear to me. One of the web site points to adding lines

[atrpms]
name=Fedora Core $releasever - $basearch - ATrpms
baseurl=http://dl.atrpms.net/fc$releasever-$basearch/atrpms/stable

[freshrpms]
name=Fedora Linux $releasever - $basearch - freshrpms
baseurl=http://ayo.freshrpms.net/fedora/linux/$releasever/$basearch/freshrpms

but I'm not sure they are the right ones since I downloaded
ipw2002 and not ATMrpms or freshrpms.

Do I make sense here ?

I added those lines mentioned above, reboot and I still get errors
saying

[root@localhost ~] yum -y update
Loading "installonlyn" plugin
Setting up Update Process
Setting up repositories
atrpms
http://dl.atrpms.net/fc5-i386/atrpms...ta/repomd.xml: [Error 4] IOError: <urlopen error (-3, 'Temporary failure in name resolution')>
Trying other mirror.
Cannot open/read repomd.xml file for repository: atrpms
failure: repodata/repomd.xml from atrpms: [Errno 256] No more mirrors to try.
core [1/3]
Cannot find a valid baseurl for repo: core
Error: Cannot find a valid baseurl for repo: core

Could someone help ?

When I click on Fedora GUI
Applications->Add/Remove Software menu, a Package Manager window shows
up with Error saying Unable to retrieve software information. Once
I click ok, the Package Manager Window disappears.
Is this a related problem to the above issue of my laptop wireless network isn't configured yet ?

What do I do now ?

What actual rpms I need to download to copy in CD ?
I downloaded
ipw2200-1.2.0-45.1.fc5.at.i386.rpm
ipw2200-firmware-2.4.8.at.noarch.rpm
ieee80211-1.2.15.tar
ipw2200-fw-2.4.gz
ipw2200-1.2.0.gz

but I don't know which one to use or if I still miss anymore files.
Please offer detailed instructions on how to use rpms to install.
This is a newbie talking.

Appreciate your patience, gurus.
Please respond with your help.
