System hangs after setting up wireless adapter

I've got a Linksys WUSB54GC wireless adapter plugged into my Dell running Fedora Core 4. To get the adapter working, I run the following (as root);

/sbin/modprobe ndiswrapper
/sbin/dhclient

After running this I can see my network, see out to the internet, and everything works fine. However, after an hour or so, the machine locks up and is completely unresponsive. It works just fine before I set up the wireless adapter, but locks up after an hour everytime I set it up. Does anyone have any suggestions to get around this (and details help as I am a bit of a noob)?

Thanks
