does wi-fi power management work with madwifi?

Hi,

I am planning to buy an atheros based card which works with the madwifi driver. However, power management functionality is important to me. Does anyone of you know if madwifi cards can do power management?

i.e. do the following commands (or similar based on madwifi) work:

iwconfig eth1 power on [switches on power management]
iwconfig eth1 power period 200m [card wakes up every 200 ms]

It would be a great help to know if these work with madwifi or not so that I could look at other cards if not. If anyone has a madwifi based card, would appreciate if you could run the above commands and report what happens along with the specific card used.
