Wifi Woes - you know the drill

I got FC6 on my Acer Laptop
trying to get my Broadcom wifi onboard to go
no such luck.
here is what i got so far:

lo        no wireless extensions.

eth0      no wireless extensions.
What else do I need to do to get this to work
when i boot it tells me its waiting for IP... FAILED

Is the driver installed for your model?
Are you using the bcm43xx module or ndiswrapper?
Do "lspci" to find out what the exact model is.

iinitally loaded the driver with ndis wrappers when i realized it didnt work

bcmwl5 : driver installed

That chipset can use the bcm43xx driver.
That is the model that I use on my laptop, but I was unable to get it working in FC7 test 4.
I have not had to use ndiswrapper yet, but I did find this.

thats bad news - this could be an ender - so close.... maybe ill try my other laptop
When will the wifi community get onboard?
