Belkin Wiresless G USB Network Adapter F5D7050

I am running a laptop with PCLinux 2007 TR4. I won't get into the specs, but to say, all my hardware is compatible. However, since my PCMCIA Slot died on my laptop about 9 months ago I was forced to use a USB stick-Belkin F5D7050 for my wireless net. Anywhoot, I had my Belkin working like a charm in PCLINUX .93BD and actually had options to choose my driver and what not.

But, since doing a new install of TR4 I am not able to get this puppy working. This is what I can give you for information.

The chipset uses the ZyDAS zd1211 driver.

I have a solid green light on it.

lsusb shows

Capability LSM initialized

Whenever I go into PCC into Networking and setup a New Wireless Connection. It only gives me the option of using a Windows Driver with Ndiswrapper. But, drivers for this card don't work w/ndiswrapper.

If I do a lsmod it does show the module.

Module Size Used by

Anyone have any ideas to help me get this puppy working.

Thanks,

Thanks Tim. I did do some serious work with this card. Mainly version 4 of this card. I previously also had version 2 of this card. Version 2 and 4 worked flawlessly with 9.3. However, neither worked with 2007 TR4.

Long story short. I gathered a bunch of information from several sites and tested some theories. And I was able to get the card to work. So needless to say I was overjoyed.

I am in the process of writing a "How To" for getting V2-4 working on PCLinux 2007. I do believe it may also be the same for Mandrake as well. And hopefully it will help someone.

Thanks...
