As the title says, I am trying to use a Belkin PCMCIA wireless card (specifically Part # F5D 7010) in a Sony Vaio laptop.
So far it has worked intermittently under 6.(10? I can't remember) but now under 7.04 I haven't been able to get it to connect at all.
It appears as ra0 in terminal but no matter what SSID I use I can't get a connection.
Upon insertion of the card the wireless activity light flashes once, and then nothing.
I am not certain what specs the laptop is, I think it's P3 or P4 era.

If it is listed as ra0, it looks like a ralink card. These are quite troublesome. Check out this link for a howto - Ralink - RT2500 Help For Ubuntu Feisty ~ Linux Fanatics
