broadcom 4311 driver issue
probably the billionth time this has happened title says it all did alot of googling b4 posting this. this computer i am hopping off of my friend's wan we go halfsies on the internet. i cant run a rj45 cable through 3 floors around here in someone would cut it for something to do as ppl are stupid and would steal the copper for getting high. any help on how to do this as an offline install so i can get the internet with linux any distro will do ubuntu pclinux os i dont care just release a damn driver it isnt too much to effin ask

Most distros have the bcm43xx driver installed by default.
But, if like me you have the card on pci-e, that needs an extra patch.
If that is your case, I would try Sabayon or SimplyMepis.
Those are the only 2 that I have found that have detected and I have been able to get online with.How to know if you are a geek.
