Adding mac80211 stack in kernel 2.4.20

Hi,

Is it possible to add the feature mac80211 available in 2.6.30 kernel into 2.4.20 to support the latest wireless drivers.

I very much doubt it or rather you'd end up turning your 2.4 kernel into a 2.6 kernel. You'd have to bring the entire udev/hotplug/HAL systems back too. Why not just upgrade to a 2.6 kernel? What distro/release are you using, and are you bound to it?

Yes am limited to kernel version as is used on Intel Xscale platform.
And want to know the feasibilty of adding wifi-n support for the same by implementing the necessary changes and hence the question
