Android Scan for Wifi in active mode
I've been working on this problem for a while. I'm trying to get my Android phone to scan for WiFi signals in an active mode.
The biggest problem is I don't know how to accomplish this. I've read some where I could achieve this by calling iwlist scan as su. But I'm pretty sure it didn't scan actively because it took 1.2 seconds to complete a full scan on 11 channels.
I'm hoping to scan WiFi signals within a range of 250-300ms. Because I found out scanning in an active mode would take 15ms per channel, with 11 channels that would take 165ms.
Does anybody know how to achieve this?
