any linux driver for USB modem ?
How does Fedora recognise USB modem ?
I have a USB Modem that works on Windows but It does not work on Fedora 10 linux. It is for Reliance Netconnect (India) and USB modem is HUAWEI EC 1260
Can any one please suggest what is to be done.
I tried editing the wvdial.conf in /etc/wvdial.conf as
Init1 = ATZ
Init2 = ATQ0 V1 E1 S0=0 &C1 &D2 +FCLASS=0
Stupid Mode = 1
Modem Type = USB Modem
ISDN = 0
Phone = #777
New PPPD = yes
Username = 93********** (the phone number)
Password = 93********** (the phone number)
CBaud = 460800
but it does not seem to work
I even tried changing the Modem = /dev/ttyUSB0 to Modem = /dev/ttyUSB2 but I get the message as
--> Cannot open /dev/ttyUSB0: No such file or directory
can anyone please suggest what to do
