Cannot activate the wirless function

Hello. Even if my wireless card is listed in the device manager, I am not able to activate it. It worked perfectly under Ubuntu 11.04, but somehow not under Blackbuntu (Community Edition 0.3 Final).

I have a switch on my laptop but it only affect my bluetooth device.
I am thankful for every information.

this is a problem that occurred mostly on older devices a few years back.
to activate your wifi - hoping you still have dual boot with any windows
boot on win
activate wlan
reboot into linux NOT shutdown+boot !!!
and normally wifi then works and is switched ON under linux

that was the situation I had in earlier years and the solution to it
there may be other reasons
of course assuming you have all wlan relevant drivers and tools installed ...

is your wireless, but it has no drivers associated with it. I looked in the linuxwireless.org web site and did not find a driver for the Advanced-N 6200 device. You might want to check on the Intel site for drivers that they provide for Linux.

According to their website, 0.3 is based on: Ubuntu 10.10, Linux 2.6.39 and Gnome 2.32.0

So I'm guessing the Ubuntu 11.04 distro/kernel has the wireless drivers built-in. Perhaps you can use the 11.04 kernel on that box? No idea if that would work...Or maybe get the Ubuntu 11.04 kernel source and rebuild it on your blackbuntu box.
