In my office there is a Wi-Fi broadband connection.usually ppl access internet thruogh the wireless divice in laptop.bt my Laptop cud not connect WiFi today.
whn i checked network configuration i found everything is ok but the status is inactive.it does not get active also.there is no prob in WiFI connection.there is some prob on my laptop.i am using redhat linux enterprise 5 .help!! :confused:
in linux 2 computers shows in favour of lan network or wireless net.bt my laptop is not showing it
Were you able to connect previously? Or is this a new install?

RHEL is not know for having very good wireless support. It has no wireless connection manager, so I recommend installing Wicd.

What distro are you using? Are you using NetworkManager? WICD? Neither?
