"device is unmanaged" for eth0 and wlan0
Here's what I did:
1. installed fedora 10.
2. booted up
3. set a static ip through the gui under System->Administration->Network
192.168.2.1 (gateway. this is the ip of my router.)
The DNS is set to 192.168.2.1 as the DNS ips are on my router. It works in
4. checked ifconfig to see if it worked. it didn't.
Here's the result:
-when I click the little icon in the top right corner of the screen where the wireless networks are normally listed, it says "device is unmanaged" under both the wired and wireless interfaces.
-when I go into the network gui again and try to activate wlan0 I get this error:
"Error for wireless request "Set Bit Rate" (8B20) :
SET failed on device wlan0 ; Invalid argument."
I can't access the internet.
