So I have done some searching and found people getting it to work but I am having some problems. I am trying to install the drivers with ndiswrapper-1.30. but I cant get it to work. Can someone here give me a step by step or point me in the right direction. I am using fedora 6 and am a noob

Ok I installed the ndiswrapper but when I type
root@localhost NT]# ndiswrapper -i LSBCMNDS.inf
bash: ndiswrapper: command not found
I get that error.
Please help
Try:
:)Code:/usr/sbin/ndiswrapper -i LSBCMNDS.inf
ok well I got the driver installed but I still cant get it to connect.:confused:
Did you do:
after installing the .inf file? Did it say "hardware present? After that, did you do:Code:/usr/sbin/ndiswrapper -l
Then:Code:/sbin/depmod -a
To initiate the driver? If having done that, did you configure your connection with:Code:/sbin/modprobe ndiswrapper
?Code:system-config-network
yes I have done that. here is what I was following

Is ndiswrapper present there?Code:/sbin/lsmod
yes it is the first thing on the list it say
ndiswrapper 187028 0
but the card is not currently in the computer
? You are trying to get a wireless card going without it being in the computer? What am I missing here? Is this a PC card for a notebook?Quote:

it is a notebook and I dont have the internet at my house but i pick up someones wifi and I am boring a wifi card from a friend and it works so I have to have it in to get on the net and then I pull it out and put in mine to try and get it to work because they both dont fit in. kind of weird sorry and thanks for the help
edit yea I know i just have to swap them
