Using a broadcom 802.11 g. Have checked with linux 14 but said it wasn't supported. Or maybe i just didn't see it. Is it compatible with any version? If not how would my computer act if it's not supported? Would i still be able to access the internet?

What distribution of Linux is it? Linux is not like Windows, where it is differentiated only by the version. There are many flavors of Linux (hundreds really), each with their own version. On top of that is the Linux kernel (which all distributions are based upon) which has its own version. Three examples of Linux distributions are: Linux Mint, Ubuntu, and Fedora.Quote:

Not via that wireless device, but perhaps thru an onboard/wired ethernet device that is physically plugged into a switch that is connected to the internet.Quote:

Of course, there are always manual ways of installing the wireless driver, provided that such a driver exists. Let us know your distro and we'll try to give you specific guidance.
