Hi there, I'm running a dual boot operating system of windows vista and Fedora Linux (220.127.116.11-78.2.8.fc9.i686) and was able to get my internal atheros pci card to work, but could not get my external pcmcia belkin notebook card which runs off a ralink driver to work. I tried using ndiswrapper, but I didn't install it properly, I unzipped it and then ran it from the command prompt which I think was the cause of my trouble now. I got it to install the windows driver (rt2860 : driver installed; device 1814:0781 present) and then did /sbin/depmod, ndiswrapper -m as well as /sbin/modprobe which after I checked /sbin/ifconfig -a it added pan0 to my network list. However my card would still not function (it listed some errors during the installation), so since then I've installed ndiswrapper using make and make install which installed it fine with zero errors and all. I removed old driver and everything and tried redoing it, I got it to read the card and the driver as present, did the depmod, ndiswrapper -mi, ndiswrapper -ma just fine, however when I try the command ndiswrapper -m it gives me the error "module configuration already contains alias directive." Interestingly enough I've never figured out how to remove "pan0" from my network list, so I think this is the cause of my problems. I tried restarting the system to see if it would load the module into the kernel, but when I run /sbin/iwconfig it lists "pan0" as having "no wireless extensions", so this is pretty much where I'm at, any help would be much appreciated.
