Network wireless card not working under linux?
since i recently moved and had to change my network card due to some internet problems (the distance between my router and my pc has increased). Until recently i was using mainly windows, but i now i have some projects to do on linux and it turns out the card i bought only works on windows. I have a TL-WN822N wireless network card, on the manufacturer's webpage it states that the card is supported only by windows xp/vista/7. So, my questions are: is it necessary that i change the card if i want internet connection on my linux or am i missing something (tried to google linux drivers but didnt find any)? And assuming the anwser is yes, what kind of card would you guys recommend? I have a Ubuntu 12.10. If you need more information, pls ask. I am new to linux so dont assume any knowledge on my part :). Thanks in advance!
