Video streaming over 802.11g
Hi everyone,
I have an old dell pc setup in my roofspace (p4 1.8 with 512 ram) with Ubuntu 6.10. I've configured samba and shared folders on it. This machine basically performs all downloads and acts as a fileserver for my music, video and movies. This machine is connected to a Belkin 54g wireless router (cabled).
Next comes a Window XP pro laptop. This one is connected wirelessly to the belkin router.
My problem is when I try to watch videos/movies on the laptop accross the network (basically opening the shared folder and double clicking the avi file)the video is jumpy and cuts out a lot. If I copy the file to the laptop I can watch it fine.
Anyone got any streaming tips or setup ideas to try and stop the jumpy video?
Thanks
