Hello, and welcome to Linux Forums. :D
To help you, we need some detailed system information. The thread linked to below describes the info needed, and how to find it.
Wireless Setup - Start Here
I have never used Puppy, so I don't know what it uses to manage connections. But i can still help you get the driver up and running.
Its a belkin wireless usb, F5D7050 802.11g, is that of nay help? Sorry i am completely new to linux
the line
lsusb returns 'bash: lsusb: command not found
You most likely need to include the "path" to where that command is. Something like this:
/usr/bin/lsusb
I don't know where it actually is located on your system. You may be able to locate it with the find or locate commands.
Code:find lsusb
Code:locate lsusb
Puppy Linux doesn't include lsusb by default.

You also can download a .pet package to a usb stick and transfer it to you puppy box to install.
