Exclamation CDROM Drive

Just bought a PC off ebay with Xandros Desktop 3 on it, the CDROM drive WILL NOT open at boot or on desktop, and it is being detected as ATAPI 52X CDROM in BIOS Setup.

Yes i have tried the small little hole, and nothing happens, i dont know wheather the cdrom drive is nackered in general or wheather it is the connection to the motherboard.

Can anyone help?

it's shurely connected to your system as you wrote that it's being detected in BIOS setup

try ejecting drive using software eject

use
Code:
 eject

A pin in the little hole should work, because it opens
the drive mechanically. It takes practice in some cases.
The mechanism may be stiff from lack of use. Opening and
closing it a few times may set it free. Otherwise, get a new one.
