Question Please help a linux virgin... re: cisco vpn client installation

Hi everyone, I've been a windows user since 1993 and am new to Linux and it's terms. So if you answer my question, please explain your answer as you would to a child!

I bought an Asus EeePC 701 two days ago and need to install a cisco vpn client for Uni. Can anyone tell me how this can be done? I had no problems installing it on my win XP laptop, but this one is a little tricky...
