I can tell you but the best way to install wine (or anything else on the eee pc) is with it's own package manager - apt-get. Ptess ctrl-alt-t and a screen will come up. Type in:
Code:
sudo apt-get update
...and press enter. After it updates:
Code:
sudo apt-get install wine
Please remember wine is not a magic program that allows you to run all Windows programs on Linux. Some applications will run perfectly, others not at all but mostly between these two extremes. Here is a good place to learn how to use wine. Good luck!

I have an eee pc but don't use wine with it. Here is a good instruction (if it is not already out of date) for how to get wine on an eee pc.
