apt again please help!!!

Hi all yesterday i reinstalled yoper and all went good.I installed all the rpms i had downloaded previously ok so i opened then synaptic and i see them.First strange thing was that even if i downloaded latest amarok release (1.1) with synaptic and install it successfully there isn't any amarok installed files in my computer and so amarok isn't start.Even if i reinstall it manually and said me that amarok is installed already amarok won,t start.
SECOND strange thing is that when i tried to install via synaptic Afterstep when it downloaded and installed synaptic tells me that there is 199 broken packages
and a lot of the packages i had installed and working (ethereal as example) are listed as not installed.
I tried www.yoper.com but i can't open the page
Any suggestions?
I don't want to reinstall yoper again
