Hi all i had a major problem installing rpms. When i try it manually with rpm -Uvh *.rpm or rpm -i *.rpm or via synaptic my system stop at transaction lock and show only this.
(warning: waiting for transaction lock)
Any help?Urgent!
okay:
two things to check....
1)Make sure you're root
2)Make sure you're only trying to run one instance of rpm, yum, or apt at the same time. You can't have one of each open either cos they need a lock on your system's packages

Hehe. im sorry but i guess your using 2.1. it has a problem with the apt, recently the servers went down and the had to change them(not todays problwem). so you have to edit /etc/apt/sources.list
