Yoper to fast

I booted into my brand new Yoper system.
But, I can't do anything. When I just barely move the mouse, it jumps to the other side of the screen, and opens a new window. sometimes it is the menu that comes up when you right click, sometimes it is the diplay properties window.
And after 3 or 4 windows are opened, a message comes up saying the screen is locked, so I enter my password, and go back to the screen.

If this kind of thing happened in Windows, I would suspect a virus. But I am sure it is a configuration thing in Yoper that I am missing.

I am using the 2.6.8.1-3 kernel

Your help is appreciated.

This is solved. I took the ps/2 connector out and put it back in. And now it works fine.
