| i often get tired of kde and use enlightenment for a while. it is fast, pretty, light.. altough i think kde is more complete and easy to use. systray, kioslaves, etc...

| I just switched back to GNOME for a few reasons... it's more well integrated with Fedora Core, it seems to load a little faster, and somebody told me about shift+drag, so now I can neaten up my desktop the way I like it. | |

| Yeah, I've been using xfce4 for almost a year now, and I like it. It isn't as customizable as I would like, but it is pretty good.
Also, I use fedora, so i install gnome and kde and most of their apps to use. They all work find with xfce
Another one I liked is icewm. I kind of drew the conclusion that it is more customizable than xfce4 (and gnome and kde), and also easy to configure, and easy to get a basic, un-crippled setup going.
I wish the fedora people worked on getting a tighter KDE setup out of the box. I think it isn't as sleek as it could be (it looks better when I boot Knoppix)
Anyway, your desktop choice is definitely a personal preference. | |

I do know icevm is faster than gnome and kde
and all review I found is based losely around this 2

| It's hard to say, since there are many things that can affect the overall speed of any WM. IceWM is very fast and light, but something like Fluxbox or Windowmaker is easily just as fast, if not faster. | |
